Hours: 9am-3pm Monday-Friday
The Site Coordinator/ Pre-K lead teacher will oversee daily operations, implement daily lessons, and supervise children. This will include preparing materials needed for daily lessons, annually conducting 2 assessments per child enrolled, planning daily afternoon STEM activities, and overseeing play.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to interact effectively with parents and staff
2. Ability to function well as a team member
3. Ability to enforce rules, safety policies, procedures, and practices
4. High energy, positive role model, willing to be actively engaged with students throughout all activities
- One year experience in childcare preferred
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Willing to Obtain CDA
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementing morning circle time and daily lessons (Planned by Program Director).
- Engaging with families and addressing any concerns from parents or staff
- Preparing materials for daily lessons
- Planning and implementing an afternoon STEM activity
- Sending out a monthly newsletter to parents
- Obtaining Purchase Orders and buying materials needed for site and lessons.
- Oversee and interact with children during play time
- Assist with the minimal housekeeping and daily clean-up of facilities
- Participate in staff training events, as assigned. Including, but not limited to 12 annual professional development hours
- Be aware of where children in your care are at all times and make decisions based on their safety and well-being
- Communicate regularly with Program Director.
- Work with Program Director to obtain state licensing and certifications
