Position Goal is to Support Mission of building a college going culture and college saving culture among Morgan County community.

Position Summary:  The Morgan County Promise Executive Director directs efforts to build a coalition of individuals and organizations to support increase in college savings plans and build a college going culture through education, curriculum, field trips to college and community participation.

 Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Build community action through volunteers, fundraising and instruction.
  2. Provide Promise curriculum for elementary classrooms.
  3. Promote the services of the organization by attending community meetings and presenting to area organizations.
  4. Advocate for 529 savings plans and funding to support those plans.
  5. Recruit and train volunteers to represent Promise at school events
  6. Recruit and train volunteers to plan and carry out Walk into My Future event.
  7. Collaborate with local community partner organizations to build awareness of Morgan County Promise’s mission.
  8. Manage outcome tracking and documentation requirements database.
  9. Analyze data, process, and results and improving the process as necessary.
  10. Maintain public relations presence through schools, social media, and traditional media.

Qualifications:  Prefer bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or Marketing.  Experience with fundraising and organizational leadership may substitute for education.  Candidate must possess excellent communications skills, problem-solving, ability to multi-task and use critical thinking skills.
