Hours 6:30am–12:15pm Monday-Friday
The morning preschool aide will oversee the morning schedule and daily lessons; as well as supervise children. This will include setting up the classroom, prepping activities for the day, implementing daily lessons, and overseeing play.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to interact effectively with parents and staff
2. Ability to function well as a team member
3. Ability to enforce rules, safety policies, procedures, and practices
4. High energy, positive role model, willing to be actively engaged with students throughout all activities
- One year experience in childcare preferred
- Must be able to pass a drug test
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementing morning circle time and daily lessons (Planned by Program Director).
- Engaging with children that are in early care. This includes helping them with breakfast, engaging in play, and supervising free time.
- Set up the classrooms for the day and have materials needed for the lessons prepped and ready.
- Oversee and interact with children during play time
- Assist with the minimal housekeeping and daily clean-up of facilities
- Participate in staff training events, as assigned. Including, but not limited to 12 annual professional development hours
- Be aware of where children in your care are at all times and make decisions based on their safety and well-being
