Hours: 12:15-6:00 pm Monday-Friday
The Preschool Aide will assist the Lead Teacher in overseeing afternoon schedule and activities; as well as supervise children. This will include prepping activities/cleaning up the classroom during nap time, implementing an afternoon activity or craft, and overseeing play.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to interact effectively with parents and staff
2. Ability to function well as a team member
3. Ability to enforce rules, safety policies, procedures and practices
4. High energy, positive role model, willing to be actively engaged with students throughout all activities
5. One year experience in childcare preferred but not required
6. Must be able to pass a drug test
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Lead Teacher to plan and implement afternoon enrichment activity or craft.
- Help prep learning materials during nap time
- Oversee and interact with children during play time
- Assist with the minimal housekeeping and daily clean-up of facilities
- Participate in staff training events, as assigned. Including, but not limited to 12 annual professional development hours
- Be aware of where children in your care are at all times and make decisions based on their safety and well-being
